La Mère Books , a spiritual bookshop from Kolkata, was established in 2019. It has been supplying books to the entire Eastern India. Basically, it sells books published by Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry, especially after SABDA closed down its counter in the same bookstore. Apart from Sri Aurobindo Ashram Books it sells books by other publishers, Indian and foreign and has also earned its reputation as an independent publisher from Kolkata. Situated at the heart of the city, La Mère Books organises various cultural activities including seminars and special lectures by eminent literary figures of India.
